Eww Review: Physician's Formula Eye Makeup Remover Pads

Hey everyone!

So sorry for the lack of posts lately, school's been crazy!  I'll do my best to keep up with it though! :)  In my I'm 3 months old post on Monday, I got lots of requests to do more get the look posts (which are coming soon!!) and product reviews, so here's one, although it's not a fun one.
Let me just start off by saying that I do not buy a product with the intention of giving it a poor review or not enjoying it.  I just felt it was only fair to all of you to share what I've experienced with some products.  I typically love Physician Formula products, I've tried their bronzers, eyeshadows, skin correctors--tons of their products! So, I figured I would really like their makeup remover pads.

I bought them at ULTA because I needed new makeup removing pads, and I wanted to try something different.  I opened them to use them, and the first one looked fine, so I tried it out--it took off my makeup but was nothing incredible.  Personally, I would stick with the Neutrogena or Ponds Makeup Removing wipes; they're cheaper and work just as well if not better!  Anyway, I wanted to use them up and went onto the next pad taking off my makeup the following day, and this is what I found:

They had all these moldy, disgusting spots on them! EWW! I don't know if this is just because they were old (I bought them in the store, so they shouldn't have been...right?) I immediately threw them away and had to write this review...because it grossed me out!  Like I said, I usually love their cosmetic products, but this just looks disgusting.  Please comment and let me know if there's some reason these look like this!  Like I said, I don't like giving negative reviews, I just didn't think it was fair to not share this with everyone.

Have you ever experienced this with a product?

Sunday Smiles: Fierce Braids, Spring Flowers, Hello Kitty House

Hey everyone!

Happy Sunday to you all!  I'm so sorry that my blogs have been slacking lately, I've been super busy with school and getting ready for tests next week.  It's so close to summer for me, only 5 weeks! It can't come soon enough!! :)  Anyway, my Sunday will be filled with nothing exciting--it's a day of cleaning and homework for me today.  But, ABC Family has some amazing movies on today so hopefully it will keep me occupied for a while ;)  To brighten your mood (hopefully), here are some things that are making me smile today:

I saw this green dress and immediately fell in love--it's so adorable!

I need your opinion--what do you think about this Hello Kitty house? Too much or too amazing? ;)

I'm in LOVE with this wedding picture--Katniss Everdeen bride anyone?

Spring has finally sprung--and these flowers are the perfect decoration to celebrate!

Here's a laugh to start your week off right:

And finally, an 'inspirational' quote to keep you smiling for a happy Monday :)

I hope you all enjoyed!

Hunger Games Happiness: May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favor

Hey everyone!

So, as I'm sure most of you know by now, The Hunger Games premiered last night at midnight!  If you follow me on Twitter, you know I was super excited to see it!  Now, I'm going to be honest, I didn't actually read the books before I saw the movie.  I know, I know, it's awful and usually I do read them first (like with EVERY Nicholas Sparks book, Twilight, etc.), but I just didn't have time to before this movie came out.  So, I can't give you my comparison of the movie to the book --and no spoilers, I promise!  I did, however, love the movie.  The idea behind it is honestly the most twisted thing ever, but for some reason I couldn't get enough of it!  I've already got Catching Fire and Mockingjay in my Amazon shopping cart!  I can't wait to read the rest of them!! Now that I've told you all about my new obsession with The Hunger Games, here's some pictures to celebrate the weekend! :)

I had to add this picture, because it's exactly how I felt the movies were going to be when I went into it!

I'm still LOVING the Capitol Colours collection from China Glaze, which you can buy here!

And now, for the most important question of all-- Peeta or Gale?
Who's team are you on? ;)
I can't decide, but after I read the other two books I'll give my opinion! :)

Did you go see The Hunger Games this weekend?
Are you going to?

Sarah's Spring Style

Hey everyone!

Now that it's FINALLY spring, I'm so excited that I wanted to do a post about my spring style.  These are my favorite spring looks, some are casual and some are more dressy, but they are all so springy :)  I love the light and bright colors for spring--as well as the super casual wavy hair with braids!

What's your spring style?

Furry Finds: Would You Wear It?

Hey everyone!

Here's a quick post about fur.  Wether it's shoes, bags, coats or dresses, everyone has an opinion on it.  Some love it, some hate it.  So, here's my question, how do you feel about it? Would you wear it? Personally, I love it on some people (like the Mob Wives...), but I couldn't wear it, faux or not.

Leave a comment and let me know if you love the fur look.

Sunday Smiles: Flip Flops, High Heels and Sock Buns

Hey everyone!

Happy Sunday!  I can't believe this weekend is almost over, which means my spring break is over too!  But, for me it's only six(ish) more weeks until I'm home for the summer, even though I'm taking summer classes too haha!  Anyway, as my week of bliss comes to an end, I thought I would post some things that are making me smile :) I hope you enjoy!

The weather here has been SO summery lately, so this flip flop picture describes how I've been feeling lately!

This picture made me laugh when I saw it, so I had to include it :)  It's SO true!

I'm literally OBSESSED with this infinity ring!  It's SO pretty!

My new goal is to master the Upside Down French Braid Bun! I love the way it looks on people!

And finally, some encouraging words from Audrey Hepburn, to keep attitudes positive and happy this week! :) (it's also my favorite quote!)

I hope you all enjoyed!  Check out some of this week's other blog posts?

I hope you all have an incredible week!

Does anyone have anything fun planned for this week?

Spring Cleaning: Clean Out Your Closet!

Hey everybody!

My spring break is almost over (insert sad face here haha), but I'm trying to send it out with a bang ;) Yesterday I spent the day with my mom, volunteering at a thrift store in my area that all the proceeds go to a place that helps to house and rehabilitate girls taken from the sex slave trade and rape victims.  This is such an amazing cause, and it's so close to my heart, that it inspired me to clean out my closet to find items to donate!  I call it part of my spring cleaning routine :)

As you can see in the picture above, I found lots of old goodies to donate--purses, jackets and even some shirts that still have the tag on them!  So, this is my challenge for you: go through your closet and clean out all the things you don't wear anymore or don't want anymore.  Take them to any donation center, wether it's Plato's Closet (make a little extra $ from them too ;) ), GoodWill or any place that will take them off your hands!  You never know who could really benefit from the items you get rid of :)  If you're like me, you can also make a game out of it; for every 5 things I donate I'm letting myself buy 1 new thing.

How often do you clean out your closet?
Where's your favorite place to donate clothing?

Ke$ha Gets Klassy?? (well...kinda)

Happy Friday everybody!

So, as much as I love Ke$ha ( I promise I really do), she's not exactly known for being the classiest person.  We're all used to seeing her like this:

Picture from here

But she recently (about a month or so ago) did a photo shoot for Glamour Magazine, and she definitely knows how to clean up:

How do you feel about the cleaned up Ke$ha?

What's Your Swim Suit Style?

Hey everyone!

As you all know, spring is coming up SO fast!  It's almost time for beach and pool days!  I'm SO excited about it, because summer is my favorite season and it's so close :)  That's why I'm curious to know, what are all of your favorite bathing suit styles?  Personally, I'm a fan of bikinis, but I also work as a lifeguard in the summer so I have to wear a one piece bathing suit when I'm working (bad tan lines but SO comfortable--I wish we could wear one pieces as cute as the ones in this picture!)!  If you want to know more about the swim suits I used in the picture, look here! :)

So, what's your bathing suit style?

NOTD + Life Update :)

Hey everyone!

I know I've already done a blog post today (DIY Chalkboard Piggybank), but the more the merrier--plus I have a little extra time today :)  It's pretty much just an update on life and spring break, which haven't been that exciting haha!  Today when I got my hair cut I got feather extensions and I love them so far!  I'm going to do a post on them in a few days, after I really know if I like them and can style them, etc.  I've also got some very fun spring related DIY and fashion posts coming, so keep your eyes peeled for those! :)  My spring break has been super relaxing and I'm loving it! The weather has been amazing as well so I'm hoping it stays this nice when I go back to school!  I hope you all are having an amazing day today :)

Here's my nails of the day, it's Sally Hansen's Sun Kissed--almost a Macaroni and Cheese orange, my mom hates it but I love it :) It would look even better with a tan! :)
You can purchase it here

What are you all doing today? Anything fun?

DIY: Chalkboard Piggybank

Hey everybody!

Today I have a really cute Do It Yourself post on how to make a chalkboard piggybank.  Chalkboard paint has been all over the place lately; there's so much you can do with it!  So, when I went to Michael's Craft Store yesterday I had to pick some up.  Here's what we're making today:

All you'll need is:

A piggybank (Michaels has them three for $10!)
Chalkboard Paint ($.99 at Michaels!)
Chalk (any craft or grocery store probably has this!)
A brush--I used a foam brush :)

Step 1: Paint one coat on your piggy bank.
The kind of chalkboard paint I used said to paint two coats, one vertical and one horizontal.
After 1 coat:

Step 2: Paint a second coat.
Make sure to leave about an hour between coats for the first to dry.  Paint this coat using horizontal strokes :)

Let your paint dry over night, just to make sure the chalk doesn't chip or stick when you try to draw on it.

After it dried, this is what mine looked like:

Now, decorate however you want and you're done! :)

That's it! It's super easy to make one of these, all you need is chalkboard paint, chalk and something to paint!  They will also make great presents! ( My cousin is about to have a baby and I'm thinking about making her one that says "college fund" ;) )  I hope you all enjoyed this post! :)

What do you use as a piggy bank?
