Style Icon: Twiggy

Hey everyone!

It's been a while since I did my first Style Icon post on Audrey Hepburn, but I'm back with another Style Icon, this time it's the beautiful Twiggy.  She was known for her slim figure, and beautiful face, especially her head-turning eyes.  Her eyes always popped in her pictures, with almost spider-like mascara on the bottom, making her stand out.

What's even more amazing about Twiggy is that she's just as gorgeous now as she was then:

You can buy this amazing book of photos of Twiggy here.
Leave a comment telling me who your favorite style icons are! :)

Best Dressed: 2012 Academy Awards

Hey everyone!

So, as you all probably know, the Oscars were last night!  I'm going to be honest, I'm not crazy about award shows about a bunch of movies I've never seen, but I LOVE watching the red carpets! :) Here's some of my favorites from the 2012 Academy Awards Red Carpet :)

And my FAVORITE of the night: Angelina Jolie! <3

DIY: Presents Fit for a Birthday Princess

Hey everyone!
So sorry for no blog post yesterday, but I had to clean and do homework after my best friend's Hannah's 19th birthday party.  She's the self-proclaimed princess (no, shes not a brat; just really funny!), so we had to give her a present fit for royalty!  It was super easy and inexpensive, and super cute.  Here it is:

It was really easy, all you'll need is:
1 cup or glass to decorate (I got mine at Michaels)
Letter Stickers (mine were purple and sparkly, but any kind you like!)
Ribbon
Cute design stickers
Super glue

How-to:
First, make sure to take off any stickers on the glass.  Then, super glue on your letters and design in whatever pattern and order you want.  Even if they're already sticky, you should super glue them too; just to make sure they don't fall off.  Then, I wrapped and superglued three different ribbon colors around the stem of the glass.  Finally, I stuck a 19 on the back, since it's her 19th birthday.

Like I said, super easy and it turns out really cute! Perfect for any girl on her birthday! :)  We also found this princess cupcake stand at Michael's, and I thought I'd include a picture, because it's so cute!

What's the best homemade present you've ever received?

Fashion Week Favorite: Betsey Johnson

Hey everyone!

So, since New York Fashion Week just ended about a week ago, I'm super excited to share my favorites with you all!  One of my favorites this season is Betsey Johnson.  We're used to seeing crazy, wild colors from Betsey Johnson on the runway.  This season, however, while the clothes are wild in their design (in the most fabulous way possible, of course), the colors were surprisingly tame.  Nonetheless, I still love Betsey Johnson's style and her line!  (All pictures from here, I don't own them!)

Do you love the line?

StyleSays--Pinterest for Fashion?!?

Hey everyone!

So if you follow me on twitter, you probably know that I've been super excited to tell you all about this new website I've discovered!  It's called StyleSays, and the website is a lot like Pinterest (which you ALL know I'm obsessed with!), but it's strictly fashion.  You have to request membership, just like on Pinterest, or know somebody to invite you (I'm a member if any of you want an invite!).

After you make your account, the first thing you'll do is take a Style Quiz, where you just check the things you like:

Once you take your Style Quiz, your home page will come up with all the styles they think you will like (you can see everything, just what they think you'll like on your homepage).  Here's what mine looks like:

Now, you can make your own "boards", here's what it looks like when you set them up (these are mine):
As you can see, my boards are called Shoe Crazy, Accessary Addiction, Bags Bags Bags, etc.

Now, you're ready to "ReSay" things to your boards!  Here's how that works, first you search through whatever categories you want, these are all of them:

Then, when you find something you want to "ReSay" (like the Pin It button on Pinterest), you simply put your cursor over the ReSay button and click the board you want to ReSay it to:

Like I said, this website is SO much fun!  I love to go on it, look around and find new fashion trends and pieces of clothing!  They have clothes from tons of different stores, like:

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment on here or email me, and I'll try to answer them the best I can!  Also, I've been in contact with many different people from StyleSays, and they are all super sweet!  You can contact them at contact@stylesays.com if you want to know more about the website!  I hope you all love this website as much as I do! :)

Make sure to let me know if you join the website, it's so much fun!

I hope you all enjoyed this! :)

Hey everyone!

So, I've been literally stalking the pictures from this year's New York Fashion Week, and Badgley Mischka was by far one of my favorites!  There was a great mix of the two biggest trends for spring--neutrals and bright/pastel pops! (All the pictures are from here, and I do NOT own them!)
